From Book Covers to Evening Gowns
I’m not a follower of fashion – for me, it’s always, comfort first.
That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy looking at gorgeous outfits.
As with most things I have saved in various folders, I don’t remember how or when I stumbled across this article about gowns and books – book-gowns!
And that’s how I came across the French designer, Sylvie Facon. What an imaginative, talented woman.
This is the original site – The Vintage News – focussing on the book-gowns, and it has more images. Ms Facon herself has commented, thanking them for the article, though she points out an error. The article states that she crafted one of the gowns in collaboration with Morgane E. Grosdemange, but, according to Ms Facon, Ms Grosdemange was one of her interns and they did not create any dresses together.
