Love and Death in the Victorian Age

Today’s discoveries are in the form of a couple of links. Honestly, you couldn’t make this stuff up!

When one thinks of Victorians, the image that usually comes to mind is of strait-laced, ‘proper’ people. I know, for me personally, the one word I don’t normally associate with them is ‘bizarre’.

So, when I came across a couple of articles that had ‘bizarre’ and ‘Victorian’ in the title, well… how could I not share?

First, we have ‘10 Bizarre Victorian Love Stories’. I had no idea how weird love was in Victorian times!

This is followed by ‘10 Bizarre Victorian Deaths’. These, by turns, left me horrified, stunned and – I must confess – in giggles… yes, my sense of humour is a bit ‘out there’.
