Favourites on Friday - from my 'Quotes' collection
Since I started crafting, I’ve amassed a number of quotes, which I like to use in altered books, scrapbooks and the few cards that I make. Despite having a goodly number, I am guilty of using the same ones over and over again … possibly another symptom of ‘lazyitis’ ;o)
Today, ‘Nature’ …
Man’s heart away from nature becomes hard ~ Standing Bear
Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more. ~ Lord Byron
The sun, with all those planets revolving around it and dependent on it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the universe to do ~ Galileo
I believe a leaf of grass is no less than the journey-work of the stars ~ Walt Whitman
If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive ~ Eleonora Duse
